James has been interested in the paranormal from a very young age - a trip to the cinema at age 7 to see the movie Ghostbusters spawned a lifelong interest!

He holds a First Class BSc (Hons) degree in Theoretical Physics and Applied Mathematics and professionally is employed as a pilot, holding the position of Training Captain with a major UK airline.

Whilst he has witnessed some potentially anomalous aerial phenomena during his professional life, his main interest remains in the investigation of spontaneous case phenomena surrounding haunting experiences, particularly with respect to the monitoring, measuring and analysis of physical changes in the environment.

James is a Council member of the Ghost Club, in the role of Science and Technical Officer, and a member of the Society for Psychical Research (SPR), where he sits on the Spontaneous Cases Committee.

He has taken part in both radio and TV work related to paranormal phenomena, presented at SPR Study Days and contributed material for a number of publications.
